Double Tree Hotel Wedding: Dharti + Mihir

Dharti and Mihir were the lucky couple who won the contest we launched with IndianWeddingSite.com, but truthfully, we are the lucky ones because they are just AMAZING, and being in their presence just blew us away over and over again! They are such warm, sweet, loving people who are so much fun to be around, and their families were just as kind. You just can’t help but to smile when you are in their presence.

The wedding events all began on Thursday at Dharti’s parents house, where all of her female friends and family united, for the Mehndi party. Dharti’s family decorated the entire house with garland and beautiful fabrics… it was stunning. As the the ladies arrived we couldn’t help but “ohhh and ahhhh” about all of their beautiful Sari’s and Henna designs. Dharti’s henna design was gorgeous and seeing the process from start to finish was so much fun to watch and film. I too got henna with a GT applied to my hand, I loved it!

The following day Gabriel and I split up for the Griha Shanti & Pithi which were religious and cleansing ceremonies performed individually at Dharti and Mihir’s homes. Saturday arrived and we got to Dharti’s room bright and early to film her getting her hair and makeup done by Baku (jaikirti) Patel. She was stunning…Mihir didn’t look too bad himself :-). Afterwards the baraat started, and Mihir appeared in a white Corvett as his family danced to the sounds of the Dholi towards the entrance of the DoubleTree hotel where they met with Dharti’s family. Soon after, the ceremony began in the beautiful outdoor garden of the DoubleTree hotel. The sun was set perfectly on the ceremony site which was decorated flawlessly. After the ceremony, Dharti and Mihir changed and got ready for their reception which was breathtaking with centerpiece designs by Simply Entertainment. To say that their guests partied is an understatement, they danced the entire night away in celebration of Dharti and Mihir’s love story.

Dharti and Mihir, we can’t help but say that we have fallen for the two of you and are so honored to have met and been part of the beginning of your lives together. We had such a great time filming your wedding weekend, because what truly made it special was your love for one another, which was just one eye-candy shot after another. Your essence reminds us of why we love doing what we do so much! Thank you for allowing us to experience your beautiful culture and traditions and making us feel like part of the family. We wish you endless happiness because the two of you deserve it all!
