On Wednesday, GT and I headed to the Forest Hills Stadium to watch Mumford & Sons concert, and it was AH-MAZEBALLS! I found out about this concert by chance last week, and once I heard the news, I purchased tickets so fast that you would have thought it was a life or death situation…Two minutes later, I texted GT saying “cancel all your plans on Wed, we’re going to see Mumford and Sons!” And then I called him and squealed…to say I was excited is the understatement of the year! I love them, and every single one of their songs.
It was such a special night since it was the first concert to be played at the Forest Hills Stadium in over 16 years, and marked the 49th anniversary of the day the Beatles performed there. Once they came on stage the crowds erupted, and they proved to be even more amazing than we could have imagined. The scene was set perfectly from the open air stadium, to the beautiful light show, and finally to the sounds of their voices mixed with awesome acoustics. Within minutes, strangers felt like friends as we all laughed, sang along, clapped, and danced the night away. We loved the entire show from start to finish, and can’t wait to see them in concert again.
