Five years ago today, my life changed. I walked down the aisle as I held my mothers hand, in my favorite dress, to meet you: my best friend, the love of my life, and my most favorite person. Tears filled my eyes as I promised to love you until my heart stopped beating, and after we promised our forever’s, we held one another tight and danced, and danced, and danced. Smiles spread across our faces. We didn’t know where life would take us, but what we did know was that we’d be together on this journey.
You are my everything. The one who teaches me about life and love. The one who is a pillar of hard work and strength and patience. You comfort me before my tears fall and encourage me when I have doubts. You hold my hand as we explore the world together and reel me back in when you know I’ve jumped too far ahead.
You are the constant source of those deep embraces and positive talks of reassurance I crave. I can say, without hesitation – you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Thank you for making me your wife and for choosing to love me every single day. It’s my honor to do the same for you, for all of my days.
